    • Adaptive regulator: The general purpose of the cWB regulator is to constrain the x-component of the signal when |f+|>>|fx| and the x-component is completely burried in the detector noise - this is very tipical for existing detector networks (particularly the LH network).
    • Estimation of the signal degrees of freedom required for more accurate calculation of the signal chi2.
    • Normalized coherent energy
    • Robust estimation of the network correlation coefficient
    • Additional signal denoising for improved waveform reconstruction
    • Improve chirp mass estimation

    List of main algorithmic changes:

    • selection of hot pixels: additional options for selection of excess power pixels based on pixel patterns
    • selection of hot pixels: new pixel THRESHOLD function - in cWB the noise probability distribution function and therefore the excess power threshold depends on the TF resolution and network configuration. The packet construction requires a better estimation of the noise PDF - hence a new threshold function.
    • clustering: introduced selection of clusters for each WDM resolution - for the packet version of the code weak clusters are excluded before super-clusters are constructed. It allows us to relax the subcut selection cut (subcut=0)
    • reconstruction (pdf) : Signal amplitudes are calculated from the data projections on f+ and fx antenna pattern vectors. The signal waveforms are reconstructed from the multi-resolution WDM packet. The packet reconstruction algorithms are implemented in a separate likelihoodWP function.
