First O4 release of cWB is finally available

This new release (cWB-6.4.5) is a minor upgrade of cWB 2G: it is meant to fix minor problems with the previous versions, and it extends some functionalities, such as the XGBoost interface. It is being used for the analysis of the Fourth Observing run, O4. It is fully compatible with the latest LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA published analyses/results on the data collected during the previous run, i.e., the Third Observing run, O3.

We provide an installation method based on cmake, which should simplify the installation, besides the standard Makefiles.

This version of the cWB package can also be installed through conda-forge: see cwb-feedstock for more details.

It is currently available on Zenodo:

or it can be cloned directly from cWB git repository (link to 6.4.5 tag).

More details on its installation can be found here.

Alternatively, the latest version of cWB is also available both as a VirtualBox image and as a Docker image.

Instructions on how to run cWB on VirtualBox and Docker are reported in the cWB User Manual, here and here, repectively.
